    Lightbulb Battle Maison

I thought we could use a threat to discuss our tactics in Kiloude City and the Battle Maison.

I know you usually start out with the Single Battles and for battles 1-10 you earn 1 BP per win and then 2 BP per win for wins 11-19 and for the 20 win against Battle Chatelaine Nita you will earn 20 BP, so it is possible to earn a total of 48 BP. This will also open up the Super Singles Battles.

Which I have not done it yet, but I am assuming that each battle type has its normal starting 1-20 battles for Single, Double, Triple and Rotation, I have seen the option for them, but I have only done Singles.

After that in the Super rounds the BP is different.

    Battle Points
Win Streak Normal Battles Super Battles
    1 - 10 1 BP 2 BP
    11 - 19 2 BP 3 BP
    20 20
    Battle Chatelaine
    20 - 29 4
    30 - 39 5
    40 - 49 6
    50 50
    Battle Chatelaine
    51 + 7

The Battle Chatelaine changes depending on the battle style.

    Battle Chatelaine
    Nita

    Single Battle - 20 Wins / 20 BP
    Super Single Battle - 50 Wins / 50 BP

    Battle Chatelaine
    Evelyn

    Double Battle - 20 Wins / 20 BP
    Super Double Battle - 50 Wins / 50 BP

    Battle Chatelaine
    Dana

    Triple Battle - 20 Wins / 20 BP
    Super Triple Battle - 50 Wins / 50 BP

    Battle Chatelaine
    Morgan

    Rotational Battle - 20 Wins / 20 BP
    Super Rotational Battle - 50 Wins / 50 BP

I stole a lot of this from Smogon. I liked the idea, just not a fan of their community. So hopefully we can have some fun with it here.
    Rules for the records list

    • The minimum streak length requirement to be put on the records list is 70, but you are always free to post about streaks that did not reach 70 wins.
    • Provide as much information as possible. Posting your Pokémon, held items, abilities, natures, EV spreads and movesets makes your record much more interesting and gives more room for feedback from other members.
    • You must provide proof of your record in order to be added. The easiest way to do so is upload a battle video of your loss and share the code.
    • Your record listing will be linked to the post where you provided proof and information regarding the team you have used to achieve the record.
    • Ongoing streaks will not be added. But again, you are always free to post about ongoing streaks.
    • Sharing useful information, experience and warstories with the Pokémon community is always welcome and makes this so enjoyable.

Battle Maison Data (Trainers and their Pokémon, movesets etc)

Good luck and never forget to have fun!

I can offer up my team first. I have not done that well yet. In the Super Single Battles I hit 20 before losing, but deleted my videos, something I am sure to start saving.

Reading all I can to figure out new styles and will be working on a new style for the Battle Maison anyway.

Here is my current lineup for the Singles.

    Charizard
    Nature: Impish - 252 ATK / 252 SPD / 4 DEF
    Item: Charizardite X
    Move-set
    • Flare Blitz
    • Rock Slide
    • Dragon Claw
    • Earthquake

    Goodra
    Nature: Naughty - 252 HP / 252 SP.DEF / 4 SP.ATK
    Item: Assualt Vest
    Move-set
    • Dragon Tail
    • Earthquake
    • Thunderbolt
    • Flamethrower

    Chesnaught
    Nature: Naughty - 252 ATK / 252 DEF / 4 SPD
    Item: Leftovers
    Move-set
    • Spiky Shield
    • Seed Bomb
    • Poison Jab
    • Power-Up Punch

Not the greatest Natures or IVs, this was my in game team tossed into the Battle Maison. Basically I lead with Charizard and hit everything as hard as I can until he is tired out. Goodra is there to clean up and when I get blocked out by those Fairy types I hope I manage a clean switch in and hit them with Chestnaught's Poison Jab. Although his Fighting type takes big damage from Fairy, Spiky Shield and Leftovers can get me an extra hit in.

Working now on better Natures and IVs. Just finished EV training my new Goodra. I have a new tactic after talking to a guy about his Entrainment team, which he did hit 315 consecutive wins in Super Single Battles, but watching his video where he lost I think I spotted what happened and how I can maybe fix this issue and build a team similar. So maybe I can put my name up in lights someday soon haha.

    Greninja - Timid - 252 SpA - 252 Spe - 6 HP
    Protean & Expert Belt
    -Scald
    -Ice Beam
    -Extrasensory
    -Dark Pulse

    Breloom - Adamant - 252 Atk - 252 Spe - 6 HP
    Technician & Muscle Band
    -Mach Punch
    -Rock Tomb
    -Seed Bomb
    -Spore

    Talonflame - Adamant - 252 HP - 252 Atk - 4 Spe
    Leftovers & Gale Wings
    -Bulk Up
    -Brave Bird
    -Flare Blitz
    -Roost

My team... Does fairly well, 36 win streak in super single battles, got demolished by a moxie gyrados. I'm thinking Starmie will do better than Greninja since it learns Thunderbolt.

That is not a bad team. Mine is straight attacking and that only gets so far. I would assume even with the ability to put things to sleep there are moments that can have a hiccup or two.

Your team looks weak to Electric, until Protean changes Greninja, what about Rock though? 2/3rds of your team seems weak to Rock or Electric.

Honestly, I think Breloom is the weakest link here... He always dies Greninja is nice because he can usually sweep teams or at least eliminate most of them. Talonflame's bulk and priority is nice insurance for the end of any battle since he can usually get a few hits off before dying. Breloom, usually just gets OHKO'd unfortunately. I'm thinking of getting an electric type such as Electvire or something...

With Protean does Greninja still draw Electric attacks?

He's not always weak to them... But his frailness doesn't like being hit by a thunderbolt

Well I meant if he was still drawing Electric attacks you could switch to Electivire and get a Motor Drive boost and damage-less switch at the same time. Could be beneficial to have Protect on Greninja to scout.
