    Default I have a house

Wondering where I have been for the last month? I was very busy buying a house. Not just any house but an 1880's era farm house with three bedrooms on the second floor and a kitchen, living room and dining room on the main floor.

It has a nice fenced in yard and something the listing agent called a garage. More like a shed with a wide door!

So I have been dealing with mortgage brokers and real estate agents trying to seal the deal. Now it is mine and this past weekend was spent spent moving in.

Oh an old house. Mine was built in 1913, yes it will hit 100 years old in May.

    Good luck to you he-he.

Nah they are fun to fix up. Is yours listed as historic? Luckily mine was not. Remodeling is tough when it is a historic building.

My family had chaos with our house. It dates back to the 1300's, but was 2/3rd's rebuilt in the late 1600's. It is a Grade II listed Historic Building here in the UK, so it was chaos to remodel, and there was a ton of things hidden away as we renovated as the previous owners had boarded a ton of things up, continuously.

It is also one of only four remaining three-cell cottages in the UK of it's type.

I have a new house. We're the first owners, but the 2nd floor, as in G,1,2, still gives me the creeps. But there's a nice field behind it that I found a huge lump of crystal in, so I like it. And when I say huge, I mean bigger than a head.

Well, I found a whole bat family in the cellar, of which I had the pleasure of going into the cellar and removing them, one by one. Except one decided to fly back in through a gap in the wall. Soooo it kept coming back (it had this distinct wing marking) so down there it still stays. It's hibernating in there. I've moved out but my mum and dad mentioned it to me It's pretty cool how we've sealed it, but this bat has decided to live in our cellar, so long as we give it food. Its not once tired to escape since we sealed the roof hole off.
We also found a horse skeleton in the front garden, and some really old vases and jars/tins dating back as far as 1700. In my ex-room I have a carving in the wall from an old owner with a tally of their current chicken stock, which suggests the upstairs room in the loft was used as a chicken coop.

I swear if it was haunted, it'd be all animals haunting it o.O
    This is a signature. Ha.

Aww, you have a pet bat. That all sounds amazing, and I'm incredibly jealous! LOL. Man, "old" in the States is like... 1700s at the most, haha.

I found a series of markings in the attic dated from the 1960's. One of the attic floorboards is the top of a world word one era army foot locker.

Door knobs are brass, wood and glass with skeleton style key locks.
