Thread: SR'ing with 3DS

    Default SR'ing with 3DS

Ok, you know that trade you can do at the entrance of route 15 for a Rotom...
Well, I believe I have found an issue with playing Black/White on the 3DS...

Seeing as I consider Rotom to be awesome, I wanted one on my team, but seeing as you can't get multiple types of it without using Ditto (and I don't have any GOOD IV'd Ditto) I figured I'd soft-reset before the trade to see if I could get a decent IV set on it...

But, I have found an issue with that... As every single trade I do, ends up with the exact same IV set, same nature, same everything...
So, I wonder if this is just mine screwing up, or, is there a difference with the 3DS and running the regular DS games in compatibility mode for the system (eg. using the same time for every moment you turn it on)

I know this seems like a bit of an obscure question, but surely someone else has a 3DS and can test this with another in-game trade...
    Just finished White....

Now to explore only the SECOND WHOLE HALF of the map....
and Poketransfer all my uber-breeds from last gen....

I found that all the trades in the game are pre-determined. Example, is the
    rotom gentle and somewhat vain?

It's not the 3DS, I'm not too sure but I believe in-game trades have most of the stats pre-determined.

I noticed this, too! Their levels are set in BW, though. I specifically bred and hatched a Mincinno so I could trade for a L.1 Basculin and received it at L.25. Oh, well.
All stats are fixed. The Basculin you get in Black or White are exactly the same aside from appearance.

I assumed Atk was 31 and Speed somewhere up there, but I haven't checked 'em. What'd they come out to?

No worries! That's really a nice IV set, regardless. Nice of 'em to provide quality 'mon in the trades!
