    Default Critical Capture

I recently went on a bit of a catching spree, and was having a pretty easy time catching everything- I think I only wasted one Pokeball on the roughly 10 mons that I caught.

One of them, however, was a bit too easy- the Pokeball only shook once before it clicked closed. I believe that it was a great ball, and that the Pokemon had yellow HP, but aside from that I can't think of anything special about it.

Would this be a glitch? I've heard of the glitch where it clicks and then pops open, but this seems to almost be the reverse of that.

I did the same thing with a Quick Ball, or maybe it was a Repeat Ball . . ., regardless, I just thought it was a peculiar animation for the specific ball. Are you sure you didn't throw one of those?

It's called a critical capture, sometimes when catching Pokemon (The rate is unknown) when you throw any Pokeball it will make a metal sound when throwing. And it will shake once, giving more chance to catch the pokemon (The pokemon can still escape if it does not shake at all).

    Huh, thanks!

Are there any known ways to get a critical capture? That'd come in handy with legends.

Thanks Pikadude609, I was just researching that.
@Caljoones: Actually I instinctively find myself using the Insta-Capture method of the R/B days.
