Nintendo DSi Release

Nintendo Usa revealed the release date for the DSi

It will launch for $169.99 and in Blue and Black different from japan which had White and Black.

There is also an offical DSi page: HERE HERE!

Which will reveal new features etc. The blue one looks awsome!

Heres most of the offical website page atm: (It is small as they add more near to the release date)

Regional Release Dates:

America and Canada- April 5th

Europe (UK)- April 3rd

Aussie (Australia)- April 2nd

So Aussie gets it first,then uk and lastly america. Nintendo decieded to change the order of releases for once!

I think the blue looks rediculus. Its coming out in white too right?

According to pokemon france, the Dsi comes out in May, in the UK, just before Platinum.

the blue one looks like a toy, like a plastic toy.

I will probably get the black one, i always get black...

you never know, maybe a special Pokemon one to go along with the release of platinum.

im not sure if i would buy that though, but it would a nice option...

America only gets Blue and Black on release.

From what I am reading about these, if my DS breaks & I need a new one it would be tempting to go with the DSi.
But I'm not sold on buying one when my current DS is working just fine. I just don't see a big advantage over the DS Lite.

It looks nice, and the bigger screens are good, but the cameras don't really appeal to me and the shorter battery life is a big negative. I also still play a lot of GBA games (Fire Emblem is in the slot right now) and I'd really miss the compatability.

Still, If I didn't have a handheld already, this would be a good unit.

Well I still use my normal DS. Not even Lite!!! Ha ha. However I reacently broke the plastic connection inbetween the upper screen and the lower one. So it can pop on and off. Ha ha. So one of them will be on my birthday list. Which, quite convieniently, is in May!

Ive only had my lite for about a year and a half, so i use both the old DS and lite to do stuff like the thing with ranger where you transfer your pokemon. But i might try and trade my old DS in when the new one comes out...

its a shame about the no GBA slot, and i think the power button is in a daft place, but im sure the other features will sort of make up...

same here. but asd Jhamin as said, unless mine completly stops working i most likely wont get one.
esspeicaly if we only get blue and black!!

no white!!! How stupid is nintendo!!! If I decide to get the DSi eventually, then it will probably be top of my list next x-mas (hopefully the white one comes out by then...)
