So, with the Specs attached Alakazam is a fearsome sight to behold. Psychic for a Powerful STAB, Focus Blast for blasting unsuspecting Weavile and T-tar, Grass Knott takes care of Slowbro, his Starmie, and other waters, HP Fire nails Metagross, and Shadow Ball for taking care of other Psychics and Ghosts. If you predict that your opponent's going to switch in a wall(ie. Blissey) Trick your Specs on her, it'll severely hinder their walling capabilities.

This is a great starter for any team, you can easily take out common Weavile leads with Counter, Def- nature ensures you get the most out of counter. It can also screw over set up pokemon like Ninjask with Encore. Psychic and Focus Blast/Grass Knot are for some coverage.

I am still in awe that Alakazam is only in the BL tier. This guy has the power and speed to out do Gengar any day. In fact he is the single pokemon that makes me shake in my booties.

Yeah, Alakazam should really be in the OU tier as far as I'm concerned.

I have one of these, and although I Ev'ed it wrong, it still served me well for a long while.

Alakazam is just awesome (and I'm not just saying that because it's one of my top faves lol). It can really serve you well if used correctly. I love it's movepool and just how it looks. But yea, funny how it isn't in the OU tier. I think it's only because of the weak defenses.
