Only a crazy man would switch in on a tuant pokemon. Tuant is no big threat as long as your opponent dosent have wierd movesets. Like how I used to have taunt on my Gengar. That dident work well though...

i think they tried Wobbo in Shody battle, and it fit just nicely in OU battles.

Wobbuffet was moved by Smogon into the Limbo tier after shoddy allowed it into normal play.

The reason for the change is, on 4th Gen the Shadow Tag ability now makes it possible to switch out against another Shadow Tag Pokemon. So that takes care of the dreaded Wobbuffet vs. Wobbuffet scenario. Although if Wobbuffet is the last Pokemon on each team, the battle will end in a draw or a long long drawn out strugglefest.


We have been talking about making our own tiers unique to PokéFarm, so Smogon and Shoddy tiers won't effect us. Smogon and Shoddy tiers change monthly. Depending on what Pokemon have higher usage. We are looking into away to make a static tier system based on power and not on popularity.

Despite its tiny movepool, a lot can be said about Wobbuffet. It jumped straight into the Ubers tier in the Advance generation mainly because of its unique ability, which utterly shatters the concept of switching and countering. Nintendo changed Shadow Tag around in D/P so that two Pokémon with this same ability will be able to switch if both are sent out. This means the dreaded scenario of two Wobbuffets facing each other will no longer end in a draw. However, Shadow Tag is still a ridiculous ability and the abundance of Choice items limiting Pokémon to only one attack makes Wobbuffet's job even easier. The only thing that prevents Wobbuffet from being a complete god among Pokémon is the lack of a recovery move.
Wobbuffet is currently being tested for OU on Shoddybattle.
