Great event wondering if I could snag a 8/8 ♀ 31/31/31/31/31/X
Named Konny
The warmer weather of spring has me out trying to get my yard back in shape for the upcoming summer. The second thing I need to deal with are the bugs that have settled in during the long the winter and are now invading my spring blossoms. This brings me the those bagworm bugs known as the pesky Pinecos. Usually my farming events stress speed natures to outrun opponents, but in this event I'm going the other way and stressing Defense by sacrificing Speed. These pokemon will all have a Relaxed nature (+Defense, -Speed).
Although they may resemble a pinecone, Pineco is a Bug type that evolves into the Bug/Steel Forretress. Forretress is more physically defensive than Ferrothorn, but lacks its Special Defense and has the advantage of learning Rapid Spin. They all have the ability Sturdy that prevents them for fainting as long as their HP is full.
They come with the following egg moves:
- Pin Missile - Bug (STAB) - Power 25, Acc 95 - Hits 2- 5 times. This isn't the same Pin Missile from the last generations. It got a power boost meaning 5 hits bring it up to 125 power STAB move, plus 2-5 chances at a critical hit and busting an opponents Substitute.
- Toxic Spikes - A layer of toxic spikes laid on the ground of your opponent's side poisoning any opponent entering the battle that isn't Flying or Levitating (Steel and Poison types are unaffected). First Layer causes poison damaging 1/8 of opponent's maximum HP each turn, a second layer causes a pokemon to become badly poisoned, damaging 1/16 of opponent's maximum HP on the first turn and adding another 1/16 damage to each successive turn.
- Revenge - Fighting - Power 60, Acc 100 - The power of this move doubles if the user has been damaged by the opponent in the same turn. This move has a negative priority meaning that goes after most opponent's moves.
- Stealth Rock - Rock - An entry hazard that causes damage based on an opponent's weakness to the Rock-type moves.
Their IVs are:
7/8 ♀ 31/31/31/31/31/X
8/8 ♂ 31/31/31/31/31/X
0/2 ♀ 31/31/31/X/31/0
1/7 ♂ 31/31/31/X/31/0
3/3 ♀ 31/31/31/X/31/X
5/5 ♂ 31/31/31/X/31/X
Forretress slow with base 40 speed. It can be a good Trick Room pokemon and learns Gyro Ball as a level up move. If you plan to use these the 0 Speed will be advantageous, if not there is no reason to opt for the 0 speed.
Many users like to use Volt Switch on Forretress. While its Special Attack is not very good, its lack of speed works to its advantage as it generally will absorb the opponents attack before switching, often allowing your incoming pokemon to enter the fray unscathed. If Volt Switch sounds attractive to you you may wish to opt for one of the pokes with a max IV in Special Attack.
These are in my Pokemon Y game and if you haven't registered me then leave your friend code in the post along with a nickname if you prefer. My Friend code is 2466-2668-6626.
I'm not looking for any particular pokemon. If there is something you bred, that is great, other than that just send over something you don't want. Heart Scales are always appreciated in this generation as I bypass many level up moves to keep the egg moves intact during breeding.
