Previous Generation Only Moves? :S

Let's say I have a male Whismur with Seismic Toss from Emerald.
If I breed this whismur with a female one in Gen V, will I be able to get a Whismur that knows Seismic Toss?

While I'm fairly sure it would work in G3, I don't think you'd be so lucky in G5. It doesn't say anything about the move on its Bulbapage.

No. Siesmic Toss is only a move tutor move in Third Gen games and can't be bred into Whismur. You would have to breed it in Emerald, tutor it the move and transfer to a 4th Gen game, then Pal Park it to the 5th gen game.

But if I make the male Whismur learn Shock Wave via TM in Gen IV, Poketransfer it to Gen V and breed it with a female Whismur, would the bred Whismur know Shock Wave too? Cos I heard that Pokemon can learn TM moves from the male parent which knows a TM move.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but in gen V shock wave will not pass down. Moves that pass down are, of course, egg moves and also tms. However, the tms must be from the generation that they're being bred in in order for them to pass down. Sorry :/

Sigh... I wanted to create my first event with a Whismur that knows these moves. Guess I will have to substitute these moves with some other moves...

I know some people get confused when some Move Tutor moves do pass in breeding. If the Move Tutor move is also an Egg Move or a Level Up move will pass the same way as an Egg move or Level Up move.
