Poké Academy Little Cup Rules and information

Little Cup League Rules:
Pokémon

• Each team will consist of 6 Pokémon.
• All Pokémon must be at level 5.
• All Pokémon must be able to evolve.
• All Pokémon must be at the earliest stage avaliable. (example: Budew, even though you can breed a Roselia and be at level 5 and Roselia can still evolve into Roserade.)

Battle Mechanics

• Species Clause: Only one Pokémon may be on a team from each species.
• Item Clause: Off, teammates may hold the same item.
• OHKO Clause: OHKO moves such as, Sheer Cold, Horn Drill, Guillotine, and Fissure are not allowed in move-sets.
• Evasion Clause: Moves that increase evasion like Double Team and Minimize are not allowed in move-sets.
• Sleep Clause: Only one Pokémon can be put to sleep by an opponent at a time, per team.
• Self-KO Clause: If an opponent uses Selfdestruct or Explosion with their last Pokémon, they lose the game regardless of the number of Pokémon remaining on the other team.

Banned

• Pokémon - Certain Pokémon are considered Uber and are not allowed in the Little Cup format.

  • Sonicboom - Guaranteed 20 HP damage, huge in Little Cup.
  • Dragon Rage - Guaranteed 40 HP damage, major in Little Cup.
  • Any move learned after level 5 for Genderless or 100% Male.
    
    • Examples:
    • Bronzor (Hypnosis, Iron Defense)
    • Golett (Shadow Punch, Focus Punch)
    • Klink (Shift Gear, Gear Grind)
    • Rufflet (100% Male, so all moves past level 5 are illegal.

Quick and Clean Rules:
Battle Rules:

• 6 Pokémon per team
• Sleep Clause is on; only one Pokémon on each team can be put to sleep by the opponent at a time.
• Self-KO Clause is on; if a player causes the game to end via the use of a move such as Explosion, that player loses the game.
• OHKO Clause is on; moves such as Sheer Cold or Horn Drill are banned.
• Evasion Clause is on; moves such as Double Team are banned.
• Species Clause is on; no team can have more than one of the same Pokémon.
• Item Clause is off; a team is free to use six of the same item if it so desires.
• The moves SonicBoom and DragonRage are banned.
• The ability Moody is banned.

• The Pokémon must be able to evolve.
• The Pokémon must be the earliest evolution stage obtainable.
• The Pokémon must be at Level 5.
• The Pokémon must not be banned
