Yikes! That is one speedy pokemon. I'm sure it could hold it's own against most foes because it also has a lot of resistances, too. Do you know much about its offensive move-pool?
You may be looking at that title, and thinking - What the heck. I didn't think it was true when I first figured it out, but it is. A Ferrothorn can reach 608 speed if played right. I was building a Sandstorm team, which included Gliscor and Ferrothorn, and I realised that Tailwind would really hurt Ferrothorn's Gyro Ball. So I looked at it's speed, which I knew was bad, and realised that with Tailwind a Jolly Ferrothorn with Max EVs could reach 304 Speed. When holding a Choice Scarf, this then doubles to 608, and I believe this could be put to use to surprise an opponent and put them off. Even better would be Gliscor using a few Swords Dances before Baton Passing to Ferrothorn. Thanks for reading!

Yep - but Gyro Ball and Curse are redundant on this set. I've been playing Power Whip, Rollout, Explosion and Iron Head. Explosion is good for when you switch out on low health, and bring it back in on something you can take a hit from. Or if you think it'll go for a stat boost. Power Whip is good STAB with 180 BP, and Rollout has it's power increase every turn. Iron Head is another good STAB that has it's BP taken up to 120.
Sounds like a pretty good strategy! I'm all for move-sets that are different than the norm. It has the surprise factor that can win battles. ^_^

I suggest going for Bulldoze over Rollout. While Rollout is very good against Fire-types, it'll never be able to rack up enough power before it's KOed. Bulldoze can be used for those pesky Heatran as wll as every other Fire-type bar Rotom-H, Charizard, and Ho-Oh (but who uses those now :P). It also allows Ferrothorn to hit other Steel-types for very good damage. Other than that, I love surprises and this is one of the best I've seen![]()

Choice Scarf is only a 1.5x, not a doubling, unfortunately.
Still a pretty cool idea though!
