Sprite Contest

December 2009

NEW RULE
Any image related to this one:

will not be permitted in the Sprite Contest.

Rules
-All entries must be a sprite similar to any of the gameboy/DS pokemon games. Excluding overworld sprites and dungeon/ranger.
-Sprites must be a fusion of two or more Pokemon, a recoloring, or a custom trainer/pokemon with clothes.
-All images must be 80*80 pixels.
-If you enter a sprite but wish to use another sprite instead just edit your first post with the new sprite
-The winner of last months contest may not enter.
-Deadline for entries is the 19th
-Voting starts on the 20th and ends the 30th.
-No using other people's artwork with or without permission. This will be strictly enforced.
-Also, if you notice that a posted sprite may be suspect, please PM me about it, do not post here.
-No animations
-All images must be submitted in transparency form. Any images not in this form will NOT be accepted. There are steps to completing this below.
-Sprite submitters may NOT vote for themselves. If you feel that your sprite is truly the best, then do not vote at all.
-A maximum of 10 sprites will be accepted into this month's contest. The first 10 posted will be the ones accepted. If a sprite is posted and does not fit the rules, then it will not be counted.

Recommendations: These should help you create a better quality sprite.
-Always save as PNG. Most original sprite hosting sites contain PNG images. This should not be changed.
-Make transparent. There are many ways to do this. There is a free online tool here. This will most likely save your image as GIF. This is ok.
-If using this tool, it is recommended that you color the target area a color not used in the sprite. DO NOT USE WHITE OR BLACK. If your pokemon is green, then color the background purple, or another color not already present. The transparency tool will remove the selected color.

Prizes

The winner has their sprite available as an avatar to them and anyone else with a badge. If you want the avatar exclusive to yourself then that is fine.

You can use whatever tool you like. Just remember that no moving images are allowed.
