No you would not be considered a hacker, you used an in game resource (the gts) to achieve desired results. Plus if the pikachu you got isn't hacked, why would the light ball be? Maybe the trader was just trying to be kind.
I have been trading on GTS for weeks now, getting and trading Pikachus in hopes of getting an Japanese Event Pikachu with a Light Ball.
I got a Japanese bred Pikachu, well assuming it was a Pichu and evolved into a Pikachu. Everything seems legit, no UBER IVs, basic Ability, basic level up moves, and egg hatched.
The kicker is it is in fact holding a Light Ball. Giving that I just want the item, would that be considered cheating if I kept the item from a GTS traded Pokémon? The Pokémon is legit, the item is a rarity and only offered in Japan.
I ask because if I were to do a tournament with a Raichu or Pikachu with Volt Tackle and it was bred in B/W/B2/W2, would I be seen as a cheater?
If it had the event OT I would feel more comfortable, but I don't want to be considered a hacker.
Well I figured that like me, there would be someone in Japan that got multiple event Pikachus and may part with one. However I am not a member of any forum other then here and Smogon where I actually talk to people. Smogon I rarely talk to anyone.
Thanks guys. I figured there is no way to tell an item is hacked, unless it is an item not found in game. So being an event only item is also not saying it is 100% a hack. Makes me feel a little better about using it.
