    Default Guide to Entry Hazards

Entry Hazards affect pokemon as the enter the battle and they can take damage before the attacks start and will break the Focus Sash of any pokemon entering the battle. Multiple hazards can be laid out and incoming pokemon will take damage from any and all that affect them. Rapid Spin will remove all the hazards at once.

    Spikes
Spikes are a ground hazard that causes damage to pokemon as they switch in. Flying and Levitating pokemon are not affected by the spikes unless they are holding an Iron Ball or Gravity is effect during the switch-in. Baton Pass affects incoming pokemon as if it were a switch-in. Although it is a Ground type move, pokemon with Wonder Guard take damage from spikes

Spikes can be layered up to three levels:
Level 1 Damage is 1/8 of max HP (12.5%)
Level 2 Damage is 1/6 of max HP (18.75%)
Level 3 Damage is Ľ of max HP (25%)

Spikes can only be removed by Rapid Spin

    Toxic Spikes

Toxic Spikes is a Poison hazard that causes incoming pokemon to be poisoned as they switch in. Flying and Levitating pokemon are not affected by the spikes unless they are holding an Iron Ball or Gravity is effect during the switch-in. Toxic Spikes do not affect Steel or Poison types or any pokemon that already has a status infliction. If Safeguard is in effect, incoming pokemon will not be affected by the Toxic Spikes.
Baton Pass affects incoming pokemon as if it were a switch-in. If they are baton passed a Substitute, they are not poisoned. If they are Baton Passed an Ingrain, they are affected even if they are a Flying or Levitating type.

Toxic Spikes can be layered twice
Level 1 Poisons incoming pokemon causing 1/16 damage of Max Hp on every turn
Level 2 Badly poisons (Toxic) incoming pokemon causing 1/16 damage the first turn and adding an addition 1/16 damage on each turn

Toxic Spikes can be removed by Rapid Spin or by bringing in a Poison type that isn’t also a Flying or Levitating type.

    Stealth Rock
Stealth Rock sets up levitating stones that damage incoming pokemon based on their weakness to Rock attacks with a base damage of 12.5% of Max HP.

    4X effective ˝ (50%) of max HP
    2X effective Ľ (25%) of max HP
    1X effective 1/8 (12.5%) of max HP
    ˝X effective 1/16 (6.25%) of max HP
ĽX effective 1/32 (3.125%) of max HP

Stealth Rock can only be removed by Rapid Spin

    Sticky Web

Sticky Web is a bug hazards that lowers opponents speed one stage upon entering the battle. It does not affect Flying or Levitating pokemon.

That's a great idea for a guide! Someone should have written this long ago. Kudos indeed, Dennis!

Stealth rock is probably the most useful.

At least everytype loses its Focus sash if it has one.
