First you need a [B]fishing pole[/B]. There are three in these games and Old Rod that you can get in Ambrette Town at the Aquarium, a Good Rod that you you can receive in Courmarine City and a Super Rod that you receive in the Fishing Shack on Route 16. Each of these rods catch different fish at different levels depending on where you use them.

The [B]Trophy Garden[/B] is behind Mr. Backlot's mansion on Route 212. Every day that you talk to him he will introduce a rare pokémon into his garden. There can be as many as two of these so when a new one is brought in the older of the two is no longer available. The two pokémon will remain in his garden until you talk to him again.

[B]Banettes[/B] are found in Diamond and Pearl in Route 227 and Stark Mountain and have a 10% appearance rate there, but the easiest place is to chain them on Route 225 or 226. Route 226 is an especially spacious patch with three quarters of the four away spots not bordering the edge of the patch.

Duskulls are found in Diamond and Pearl but they are on the far off Route 224 and have only a 2% appearance rate. In Platinum they can be found in the patch on Route 209 just east of Hearthome City. This is one of my favorite patches as it is tall giving you safe spots above and below you from the middle of the patch.
